Hard to tell the difference from your garden-variety S430 or S500 at a glance. But the wheels and dual exhaust do set it apart.

Shouldn't the dead giveaway be the unique taillights (which the car in your pic lacks), or was that only on certain years?

Yours are simply the taillights from after the design refresh (2003-2006). The silver car in my picture is an earlier W220 (2000-2002).
